ELECTRONIC PRESS KIT

INTRO:

Liam Hudson is an Australian Multi-instrumentalist, Singer, Songwriter and Producer creating emotionally compelling indie-electronic music. Liam’s music has been described by Futuresounds CEO, Patrick Lang as “cerebral, moody, but at the end of the day, these are pop songs with hooks that'll get lodged in your head.”

CURRENT RELEASE:

Liam’s Upcoming song - You’ll Be Fine - will be coming out in late September. This song tells the story of the emotions and pain caused after a break-up, and the longing of just wanting to get over it, and go straight to just being fine. “I just hope you’ll listen, to the world that I’m missing. That girl you’ve been kissing, she's the one that I am missing” - (Chorus), this feeling of wanting to tell people how you felt about them, but also wanting to move on, is the key driving emotion behind this song.

BACKGROUND:

Liam started writing music from a young age, but didn't begin to hone his skills till his mid-teens when he started writing Jazz, Baroque and Movie style compositions. Through this time he was heavily inspired by the works of Jazz artists like Dave Brubeck, Bob Mintzer, Ray Charles and Composers like Bach, Hans Zimmer, and John Williams. After finishing school Liam started learning electronic production and recording, writing and recording entirely from his bedroom. He developed a sound along the same lines as Chet Faker, Jack Garratt, or Safia.

GOALS:

Liam has a clear goal and path he would like to take, looking to continue to release singles until gaining a moderate and consistent fan base, followed by the release of an EP, and eventually a full LP, with hopefully, touring and performance becoming a larger part of his career as he moves forward.

Liam Hudson’s newest single - You'll Be Fine - is an exciting new song, exploring sadness and pain in a breakup. This mix of synths, piano, and desperate vocals, create a piece of music that is an emotional journey, filled with sadness, yet hopeful for the future.
